Boughton Monchelsea Primary School
Church Hill | Boughton Monchelsea | Maidstone | ME17 4HP

Hi, here is a little introduction about me and my role within our school.  My name is Leann Chapman, and I am the Family Support Manager here at Boughton Monchelsea Primary School.

My role is to support parents and carers to ensure their children can be happy, learn and flourish at our school.  I will work closely with parents on any issues that may be impacting on themselves or their child’s well-being, I can offer a range of advice or signpost them towards any outside agencies if required.

Part of my role is to work closely with all staff, I will liaise with them where necessary and appropriate and always in the best interest of the children and their families.

I am here to provide any advice, or support with any issues you may have concerning your children, whether that be at home or during school, and will always encourage as much parental involvement as possible to achieve the best possible outcome.

The work that I do is completely impartial and non-judgemental, providing an understanding ‘listening ear’ if you ever find yourself needing advice or support.

I am an alternative contact who you can approach informally if you have any problems, issues or worries about your child/children either in or out of school, sometimes just a chat can help.

Another part of my role is to review attendance and punctuality.  At Boughton Monchelsea Primary school we expect the very best of our children and being punctual and having good attendance is an important life skill to learn early. Arriving to school late can cause a lot or worry and anxiety for children, so we strongly encourage all of our children to arrive promptly.

All pupils should be in school between 8.30am and 8.45am so that they can be ready and settled promptly for the register to be taken.

If your child is absent from school, parents/carers are requested to phone the school office by 9.30am on the first day of absence and, if the absence is for more than one day, please update the school regularly.

Where and when to contact me:

You can contact me through the office by calling the school on 01622 743596 or by email

I am in school on a Wednesday 8.45am – 3.30pm, Thursday 8.30 – 2.45pm and Friday 8.45am-3.30pm.
